It feels like summer just ended. How can it be time to be thinking about next summer already?
Well, just as is the case with colleges, summer programs are routinely reviewing applications and accepting students much earlier than in years past. This means that students who apply later in the season might not have the same chance at admission.
You might be wondering: is a summer program a good use of my child’s time and my financial resources?
While we at Blue Stars view every student uniquely and help them with their individual path – which may or may not involve a paid summer program – I can tell you that programs like these routinely help students:
Just last week, I spoke with a Mom who reported that her son, Joey, returned from a summer research program ready to take his future into his own hands, something brand new. When chatting with a mentor about more advanced, individualized work in his field, Joey led the discussion, signaling to his mom that he was in control of the situation. She was so impressed with him, so proud!
I love these stories so much. I hear many of them every fall.
