My daughter and I had the good fortune of working with Dr. Amy Morgenstern over the last year. After an arduous vetting process, we chose Dr. M, who was clearly the most qualified among the admissions consultants we interviewed. What a fantastic choice we made! Let me start with the end in mind and work backward. Bottom line: my daughter, who does not hail from a top-tier college (although she did have good grades, which alone are not sufficient in these competitive times), landed a coveted research position at an Ivy League laboratory, beating out hundreds of other candidates. I credit much of this amazing outcome to Amy.

In addition to doing an over-the-top job helping my daughter research potential positions, craft cover letters, draft an outstanding resume, create a sophisticated Linkedin page, prepare for interviews, etc., Amy took the process to a much deeper, more critical level, and that is what truly distinguishes her from the rest. Amy was able to get my daughter, a typical college coed, to advance intellectually so that she could think, write and present herself at a level of sophistication that I did not think was possible. Lauded by her interviewers for her curiosity, enthusiasm and excellent command of the subject matter at hand—all factors Amy coached my daughter on—my daughter was offered her first choice position, one that will set her up for the rest of her career. Additionally, she was granted interviews at six other laboratories (which she turned down after accepting her position). We thank Amy from the bottom of our hearts for taking a difficult and anxiety-producing process and making it so manageable, yielding such an excellent outcome.
